Nyad was a good story which carried very little weight in true modern netflix original fashion. Perhaps its staying true to the personality of Diana Nyad based on the credits footage but the feel of the movie made the feat seem more trivial and forgettable than im sure it was.

Watched to avoid nightmares after seeing talk to me. Provided a good laugh for the group but not the sort of movie you’d watch on your own. Plot was plotting and you get what you expect.
Favourite scene: definitely the scene where Deputy Fallon tears an outboard off a dinghy to use as a makeshift piranha blender. Iconic badass moment.
1/5 would not recommend in 99% of situations
Scary movies are not a preferred genre of mine but this one manages to avoid some annoying tropes. Had some impressive performances and a solid enough concept to be an entertaining movie. Despite this it was somewhat predictable and there were some all time annoying characters.
Scary movie which i do recommend unless you are living in a creaky old wooden house with a mannequin lamp and doors that like to open seemingly on their own.
Favourite scene: probably the first time Mia lets the hand in. Impressive acting and a super freaky laugh.

Society of the Snow is a very good movie which manages to blend impressive scenery, gore, and raw emotion without any one detracting from the others or the story.
Being a foreign film meant the cast was unfamiliar (to me at least) and this made the movie feel more authentic. Which could be easy to lose with a story so extraordinary.
