  on one hand, i loved this because i felt so close to it as someone who grew up loving theatre in latin america- americans take theatre for granted and they don’t even understand what that means. 

  on the other, it is so clear this documentary is filmed from the american gaze and it was upsetting and gross at times. i would have loved for it to focus on the cuban company instead of the american producers. 

  it’s complicated i guess?…
