Licorice Pizza 2021
Nothing to glean from a third viewing, although the moments this time are punctuated by two things: 1) my growing appreciation of all things shot running, and, 2) my sister screaming “HE’S FUCKING FIFTEEN, ALANA” whenever they’re together onscreen, which makes up more than half of the movie. Licorice Pizza is people.

A film on de facto attempted murder has no business being this romantic, or this tantalizingly comforting. I have maybe seen this countless times in various points of my life and it remains steadfast, unflailingly straightforward with nothing new to glean from each viewing. And yet.
No fucking notes, linear nor skin deep. The best PTA film.
