This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Granted, with a second viewing, other things begin to pop out. The themes, and the theme Jordan Peele is trying to get across is a little more apparent. In a word: spectacle - as he put it. Funny how this critique/portrayal of society and the selfish pursuit of spectacle in the wrong places, is a spectacle (IMAX-sized, no less).

A weird movie. In fact, one of the weirdest movies I think I've ever seen, in the sense that it's so out of left field in so many regards. There's the first and most obvious one that it's a musical. The first time they broke into song something seemed to shift in the theater. I don't think this was a bad idea and it often worked; too bad it was mostly undisciplined and unspecific.
