    Director Bong's latest sat pretty awkwardly. On the one hand here is a big-ish sci-fi play, that has a lot of the potential meaning and ideas of Snowpiercer or The Host with a great cast. On the other hand, the script just doesn't have what it takes to get any of that over the line. It's heavy on glaring gaps, weird and meaningless quirk that I couldn't get behind and impressions and caricatures that feel dusty and out-of-date.
