The film left me speechless, heartbroken, in tears, and with hope. This is a beautiful documentary that shows lives of the pupils and teachers in regions, affected by russian invasion in Ukraine. While focusing on their lives, it leaves space for broader geographical, historical and political context of the country. The music deserves a special mention: Alexey Shmurak wrote beautiful soundtrack preformed a capella by a choir.
Beautiful and incredibly touching film, Dolan at his best. Anne Dorval impresses by a variety of mother types she plays in his films, this one is unforgettable.
Wonderful adaptation of “The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant”, especially taking into account the life of Rainer Werner Fassbinder. François Ozon did a great job.
Meditative and intriguing at the same time. Cinematography is insanely beautiful. Berlin didn’t change much since 1990s.
