This one was better.
Not sure if it was significantly better, or wasn't so horribly directed.
Warewolves look great. Acting was a lil better but still goofy.
And imtge final act is weird that they teleport to Italy. That's not really really explained, and considering it's a state of emergency, it really needed to be explained.

I thought this would be kinda tacky, and like a family film version of a Judd Apatow movie made 7 years too late, but it was actually really caring and heartfelt.

I feel that you can Split Sci-Fi movies into two halves. One half a drama film that is centred around an element of Science Fiction, the other half action/adventure films set in a Science Fiction world.
This movie is the perfect example of the former.
We will get Amy Adams her Oscar eventually and it was a travesty she wasn't nominated for this role. So much weight, so much tenderness, so much heart leaking out from every facet of this…
This was a bad film.
But, this was a fun film until the final act which was the most boring 'action climax' of a teen action film I've ever seen.
The second we whipped out the Compliance Serum, which turned all the "brave, headstrong" clan into mindless robots, I knew we were in for a shocker.
If it had kept the tone of the first 2 acts and just built on some fun action stuff, I think I'd be rating this much higher. How can you completely fail at sticking the landing and then get two more films?
