Civil War 2024
Not sure what I expected but I really loved it. Combat scenes are definitely reminiscent of Children of Men, felt super grounded and modern, used its lens of photojournalism to great effect. There’s a universe where this movie is super trite and over simplistic in its theme and messaging (see Don’t Look Up by Adam McKay), and this isn’t one of those.
