  Not nearly good as the first one. The animation was absolutely gorgeous but the music was disappointing. (Especially compared to the original) Matangi was really cool and I wish we saw more of her. Her song was the best in the movie. I'm sure the third movie will have more on her but I still wish we had more.

  OKAY.
  I went into this movie nervous but excited, everyone I know loved the movie but I have little faith in adaptations especially after some recent musical adaptations..... (Mean Girls, Dear Even Hansen, The Prom, ect.) But this movie blew every expectation out of the water. Not only was it a fantastic and faithful adaptation of the stage show but it was a beautifully crafted homage to the original as well as too the legacy of "The Wizard of Oz".…

  Cutting "Does anybody have a map?" And "Good for you" is CRIMINAL. Good for yiu is the best song in the musical and it takes away so much of the moms story to cut it.
  The casting in this movie is all over the place. Connor and Evan could have been better casted and the chemistry between them was weird... And the eye contact with the camera made my skin crawl. Also short hair Connor feels wrong. The ONLY redemption…
