    There's a scene where several big old fat Italian mafia bosses try to escape the police while they're in a farm field. They all start running like a group of little rabbits on a hunting day to reach their cars. This brief moment of life, I must say, made me laugh quite a bit.

    Otherwise, yeah, the film sorely lacks the touch that Scorsese would have brought to such a project, and it clearly aims to be in the same vein (Nicholas Pileggi on the script, Irwin Winkler as producer, Robert De Niro).
