Kinds of Kindness presents three tales, and while independent of one another, they all showcase immense cruelty and misfortune. All three films present compelling concepts, but only two give the audience something to chew on. Absurdity and surrealism is on full display here, and I found it worked… sometimes. Longlegs 2024
Calling this “the scariest movie of the decade” was quite the overstatement. Unfortunately, the best thing about Longlegs was its marketing. While the first 20 to 30 minutes were gripping and sets up an interesting premise, the rest of the film fails to deliver on that initial promise. Bizarre is the word I’d use to describe this film. At times I was wondering if the director really knew what he wanted this movie to be. While unique, I can’t say this is worth a trip to the movie theatre.
