I think objectively this is a near perfect film. The acting is stunning, it is very well written, the sets are breathtaking and there are so many frames that i would hang on my wall. But goddamn i really cannot do ye olde English it’s just so hard for me to get invested. So I did enjoy this but I don’t think I’ll ever rewatch it because that was hard to get through

The Martian 2015
Honestly just an all around great movie, a wonderful cast mixed with a smart and funny script. Matt Damon is absolutely at his best here and I was at the edge of my seat the entire time even though this is my third time watching this. The only thing I can recommend more is the book but this is honestly one of the best book adaptations out there

The Dark Crystal 1982
From a practical effect standpoint it’s a marvel to watch. A lot of the puppets still stand up to time and look great. From a storytelling standpoint it was all over the place and very disorganized. I felt like a lot of the world building wasn’t established (which i know it is more in the comics and tv show). Its not a great self contained story but its a special effects masterpiece
