  It’s such a pretty film. 

  Obviously not book-accurate, but it feels much more right than the 2020 version does.
  It has the ethereal questionable magic feeling, whilst simultaneously making it completely believable. 

  I think all the characters were spot-on, sans Mrs. Medlock. I don’t understand why both films tried to portray her as almost a “villain” when all she wanted was for Colin and Archie to get better. She never forced anything. Yes, she didn’t much like Mary, but not a lot of people did. In fact, the only one to like her straightaway was Dickon. 

  Anyway, it’s a great movie and I recommend it highly.

  This is really sweet. Like just a beautiful tale of childhood, loss, family with the overarching natural themes. 

  It’s simply lovely, to see the children grow and learn to love and everything. I recommend it highly :)) (2020 film w/ Colin firth is great as well!!)
