Cabaret 1993
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
It’s clear when watching cabaret (1972) that it’s more suited on stage. I think both the 1972 and 1993 versions have fantastic qualities individually and comparison is probably futile and irrelevant. However, I enjoy reflecting on both works and having just watched both for the first time within the last 48 hours I have thoughts.
I really appreciated the incorporation of Herr Schultz and Fraulein Schneider in this version and found their break-up followed by “If You Could See Her”…
