made me so uncomfortable, both male leads are super gross and abusive and selfish, her falling in love felt like stockholm syndrome, and it also felt like they painted the maui people as like very stupid and savage like?? just so uncomfortable on so many levels i just wish it was about Ada and her daughter even by the end i couldnt be happy for them just because how much george or whatever grossed me out
