Demon Wind 1990
A laughably bad movie, that’s chock full of some many “you gotta see it to believe it” moments. Squishy pussy monsters and absolutely baffling dialogue make it a good movie to watch with a bunch of buddies and a case of beer.
Some fun makeup and creature designs, but ultimately this one is killed by its arduous pace.

Night of the Living Dead 1990
Solid remake that doesn’t achieve too much other than the fine tuning of some of the characters, and rewriting Barbara as a strong female lead rather than a trauma stricken victim.
Cool zombie effects and pretty fun performances by Tony Todd & Tom Towles.It’s an unnecessary movie, but certainly enjoyable for the genre buff.

Trite, stupid, and vapid as hell. This is what happens when Disney decides that it’s finally time to pay attention to a demographic. 2d characters juxtaposed to terrible cgi and a regurgitated formula all made worse by a faux sense of diversity.

John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum 2019
Low brow and pretentious at the same time. Despite the non-stop action setpieces , the movie has no pulse or soul. Great hand to hand choreography marred by a lack of creative camera work, pretty obvious cgi, a call of duty menu screen soundtrack, and a handful of uninventive run and gun scenes breaking up the fist fights. Characters have zero complexity and everything is predictable to an upsetting level.
