« A lot of the time we feel that our lives the worst, but I think that if you looked in anybody else's closet, you wouldn't trade your shit for their shit. So let's go. »

This quote deeply resonated with me. As a kid, I would always thought my life was the worst after something bad or unpleasant happened to me where in fact I’m very fortunate but too young to realize it. It’s extremely well portrayed here in…

    The Switch

    ★★★½

« Why wouldn't anyone want people to know about their birthday?
    - Because getting old sucks. Most people don't accomplish what they'd hope to and they realize that they are most likely not going to. They end up living these quite lives of denial, and uh... brushing birthdays under the rug just becomes a part of that. »

While the film fails to be a proper rom com, it’s at its best when it comes to parenting. The kid is actually delivering a great performance. The chemistry with Bateman is undeniably charming and cute, which makes their relationship quite heartwarming and comforting.

Greig Fraser is on God mode (his best work to date?). The cinematography is absolutely insane, such a step up from the first one in my opinion. The shots of Jessica during Paul's dream had my jaw on the floor, one of the best…

    The Creator

    ★★★★

The Creator’ is a spectacular sci-fi film on an epic scale, it gave me Blade Runner & Star Wars vibe. The photography is absolutely stunning and it has one of the finest visual effects I’ve seen. I’m so glad we finally have a new original sci-fi project, the world building from Gareth Edwards is great, I’d love to learn more about this universe.

Even though the screenplay is kinda basic, it tackles a super important subject, AI. Especially nowadays in our…
