Goddamn i cannot stress enough how good Mann is. This story and concept on paper seems like a massive drag but there isn’t a single moment in this film that isn’t demanding attention. One of the best representations of integrity in the face of adversity I’ve ever seen. Crowe absolutely nails the internal turmoil of an honorable individual facing the worst consequences imaginable but Pacino is absolutely electric in every scene. They truly don’t make em like this anymore.

Flow 2024
Watched this with my black cat who was absolutely locked the fuck in the entire film and wondered if this was her first “he just like me fr” moment.
Whatever this lacks in animation quality makes up for it tenfold in heart and cinematography. The whole movie is just wildly gorgeous and the soundtrack and audio design is spectacular.
Not only my favorite animated film of 2024 but one my favorites in general. Cannot wait for the Criterion release.

Part of me absolutely loved this
and the other part felt like i just watched two people who definitely would have had a tumblr blow smoke for a hour and a half. Maybe I just didn’t connect with it but I do think it does a good job of portraying the kind of conversations you have in your early twenties.
