had the bones of what have been a good story but badly written. too many angles and nothing really working, couldn’t tell if it was meant to be funny or meant to be heartfelt and instead of being a blend of both it was kind of a failure at both.
both characters annoyed me and also the music took me out of the movie a lot.
that being said i enjoyed watching it in the cinema on a date…
i like gothic films and i like vampires and i like the cast & director but this was mid for me and i also thought that lily rose sometimes wasn’t very believable but nobody ive spoken to agrees with that so idk. i left the cinema thinking i wouldnt watch it again but i actually do want to watch it again purely for the “gothic vibes” rather than any storytelling really. not a bad story but not my fav
