  I watched this a decade ago. Re-watching this was probably the only time I’ve felt like a film was an old (and chaotic!) friend that I was catching up with after many years. It is to the credit of the film’s intensity and integrity (structural, rather than ethical*) that I felt like I was divulging myself to it as I watched it, updating it on how I’ve changed.
