  Enter the Void 2009

  When asked about my favorite film - I always answer Enter the Void because of the impact it had on me when I first watched it.

  I rewatched it on the big screen yesterday, and I still consider it a unique masterpiece. While it didn’t shock me like it did the first time, I appreciated it for different reasons on this viewing.

  This is one of those films that everyone should see at least once.

  I don't know how they managed to include so MANY things in this film and yet say so LITTLE.

  A convoluted mess that bombards you with plot points and voice-over narration, skipping all the interesting parts.

  Pattinson is good.

  It's anxiety-inducing to think about how one small action can unravel a chain of events, leaving no one the same. The film is filled with beautifully crafted, complex mise-en-scènes that are rich with movement and actions.

  The voyeuristic camera angles invite you to simply watch and observe as all the puzzle pieces gradually come together.

  Really enjoyed the cinematography. A mix of Refn and Panos Cosmatos, great music, and visually stunning sequences. However, the story felt unfocused and at times dragged.
