A Real Pain by Jesse Eisenberg was an amazing film exploring the stages of grief and loss not only from a family member but from both Benji and David's childhoods. This 90min film whilst exploring a theme most would associate with sadness implemented just the right amount of comedic relief, purely manipulating the audiences emotions. The Holdovers 2023
This movie is so cozy it reminded me of a warm cup of tea. In the beginning i was hesitant to continue watching due to the slower pace of the film, however after completing The Holdovers, I think it was perfectly done. This film made me laugh and cry and there is no doubt that it will forever be embedded into my brain. This movie will definitely be on the rotation on a rainy day.
