  i get the political commentary and i wanted to like this so so badly but i couldn't because of the violence. soori's performance was epic and ofc vetri maran's work is amazing but I've been so done with the violence in the film industry that i couldn't sit through the end.

  dhanush as the actor and director are a treat but not so much as the writer. the writing was reminiscent of different writers, almost as if dhanush is grappling to find his voice. having said this, 1st half was solid, absolutely loved the soundtrack, overall pacing was enjoyable, actors did well, the cinematography was decent.

  in the slew of violence and gore heavy tamil action thrillers, rayaan is unfortunately a forgettable film.
