You'd expect a movie that carries peru in its title to give a bit more than 30 seconds of screentime to peruvians.
Sometimes its just weird, why would you cast a white caucasian guy for the role of peruvian immigration officer?
Or why does El Dorado, the mystical hiding place of the inca treasures, contain plantages of oranges, a chinese fruit?
Apart from that the movie also just really sucked, I had a hard time not falling asleep. The plot was predictable and dull, jokes weren't really funny, the characters completely superficial.
After reading the first book I decided not to keep on reading the saga. Its topics of religion, culture, politics ... are captivating, BUT I felt like there was a lack of real emotions and characters I could feel connected to.
The movie explores the strenghts of the book very well and of course features many breathtaking action-scenes. It tries and succeeds to some extent to make Paul and Chani more human than they are in the book, but I…
Nada de nuevo en esta película. Si preguntás a la inteligencia artificial de escribirte la trama por una película, eso es lo que recibís, una copia de otras películas ligeramente alterada.
Pero: me divertí. Tal vez porque fue mala en el sentido que lo disfrutás.
No es muy creativa, pero es como una nueva canción de pop: ya conocés como es xq suena casi lo mismo como mil otras, pero la familiaridad es lo que te hace sentir bien.
Diálogos son malísimas.
