    what a lovely story omg. i couldn’t tell if i liked this protagonist or not but the plot structure felt so balanced that i found it so interesting to follow. did the ending seem abrupt and meaningless? were there story elements that were ignored to piece together the viewer experience? maybe, but i like the themes here. it has this grainy classic late 1900’s film aura that fits so perfectly imo and the way sound and music connects sequences was beautiful. nice performances all around which was to be expected honestly. good watch

    had little context going in, but florence’s performance and the horror that’s created purely from suspense was breathtaking. many themes under the surface here, many of which seem to be interpretive which i’m obsessed with. don’t know much about ari but this film seems to be inspired by both classic and modern horror, but then again i get a sense of a feminist theme that lacks authenticity. some sequences or red herrings (i’d have to research more ab the writing) kinda bothered me but in the end i really enjoyed this watch
