  The best way to describe "Pearl" is it's like "The Wizard of Oz" if Dorothy had a homicidal side to her. On the surface, Pearl seems like a well-meaning farmgirl with big aspirations. Dig deeper, and she's a frustrated woman forced to conform to a life she desperately wants to get away from.   I honestly love this movie. Dwayne would have to be my favorite character (Paul Dano) even though he doesn't talk for half the movie he's still able to express how he feels. the breakdown when Dwayne finds out he's colorblind is touching, I don't know how to explain it I think at that moment he felt trapped? which is why he tried to keep his silence but wasn't able to.
