Happy as Lazzaro 2018
I honestly love the cinematography, the framing, the realism and the performance. The acting was amazing and felt so natural.
I enjoyed the overall symbolism and themes around exploitation, blind faith, kindness and naivety.
My interpretation of the film is a dialogue based on classism. So many unfortunate people are in these situations not due to laziness but the pressures of the system they live in. This is shown through the Inviolata workers, as their enslavement/situation only changes by face but is very much the same.
Overall Lazzaro is a fucking Angel and I love him so much.Translated from by

Dreams 1990
Absolutely beautiful! Each scene, each story, each cut all done with purpose. The lingering shots and depth made it feel like I was a spirit watching from beyond. The Story of the boy and the orchards gave me inner warmth whilst the mountain men had me in suspense cheering for their perseverance. An absolute must watch!
