This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
There where bits I liked and bits I really didn't. Unfortunately had a fair bit of this spoiled for me so that may of soured my opinion on some bits (the "human" alien at the end). I thought it was the most true to the franchise alien film there's been in a while, the imagery and set design was amazing. Gore was phenomenal and some of the sequences too. Still not certain on my current rating.

Van Helsing 2004
I have a massive soft spot for this film and think the first half is actually pretty strong but it absolutely drags in the second half and is far too long. if this film was half the runtime i think it'd be so much better but it just outstays it's welcome. The CGI also just looks worse because of all the practical props and costumes that look great so by comparison the CG stands out a lot. Too bad so sad.
