  For a plot this simple, I would’ve expected a worse film. That being said, I still think it’s good for what it is, even if there are plenty of conveniences and unexplained details.

  The first two-thirds of this were great, but the last third felt hollow and directionless. The story stuck to its dystopian reality for a while but after Colin Farrell reentered the city I almost felt like I was watching a completely different film.

  I understood the setting, and realized it was essentially a life or death scenario, but nothing really happened in the second half to reestablish the stakes that made the first half so compelling.

  Overall, I still enjoyed this but it definitely lost its structure by the end.
