2001: A Space Odyssey 1968
Two words: MIND... BLOWN... This was art. This was a masterpiece. I wouldn't be surprised if you told me Kubrick had experienced the last fifty years of sci-fi and tech advancements, gone back to the 60s, and made this film it was so ahead of its time. Apparently Kubrick had a background in photography and did some if not a lot of the "star gate" sequence's beautiful vfx himself using a square water tank, ink, and some dangerous WW2 chemical…

The character designs were so lovely, snowman narrator is top ten characters ever probably. Yukon Cornellius is just like Ned Land. :-)
