first of all i think "the hole" is a better title.
this movie was nasty and engrossing, it really commits to its concept and doesn't flinch away from depicting and exploring the grotesque implications of its dystopian setup. but it was also hard to not roll my eyes sometimes at heavy handed allegory, especially when the protagonist is directly referred to as the messiah. i like being earnest and commiting to your message but it's possible to take yourself too…Translated from by -

kind of boring, but i learned that dutch people eat chocolate sprinkles on toast. maybe this movie would have resonated with me more if i was european or a dad who feels emasculated by domestic life and polite society.
