  An improvement on Smile 1. This movie takes the smart choice of focusing on the main character, played by Naomi Scott, a popular pop star that has numerous personal struggles. The majority of this movie is a horror character study. I think the horror is a slight step down from Smile 1, but the story and performance is a large improvement. Great horror movie.

  This is like "12 slightly upset men." The premise immediately gets old the moment it is revealed.

  A fun and truly scary horror movie that relies heavily on good jump scares. This movie gives flavors of It Follows and The Ring while never quite living up to those better horror films, it definitely deserves a watch from horror fans.

  This movie is high tension and high scare factor. There is nothing particularly new or innovative in terms of premise, but it is just really good and scary with superb directing and writing. There is tons of gore and some truly gross makeup effects. The lead is fantastic and carries the movie on her back with an incredible performance. I am also happy to say that the trailer doesn't give much away. Also, for fun: pay attention to the the role that hands play in the film.

Following
