Full Metal Jacket 1987
Surprisingly small scale stories - almost like two short films. The first part is the more iconic one, that everyone knows by heart. The second part is a lot more interesting, than I remembered. Still a unique war movie with timeless appeal.

Twin Peaks: The Return 2017
Twenty years after “Lost Highway”, I find it surprising how this is often called “experimental”. It should be enough time to get to terms with the way David Lynch is constructing and telling stories. For me “Twin Peaks the return” is the work of an director, who has developed a language that has consolidated since his last couple of films, and is now exploring the possibilities of it.
