One of those instances where it was glaringly obvious that this was a first time script & directing effort. Didn't feel like it explored any of the themes it hinted at. Like someone wanted to make a goofy Ex Machina but also didn't know how to write comedy very well and ended up with an undercooked plot of a Black Mirror episode instead.

Always wanted to see this on the big screen & was pretty bummed I missed it when it was in IMAX. I lucked out & the Hollywood Theatre was showing it in 35mm on a day off! Not the biggest Paltrow fan but it's pretty amazing how much she adds to this especially with as little screen time as she gets. I really wish modern movies would learn how to light dark, dingy scenes. Love the way this looks.
