Oldboy 2003
I think it’s a technically incredible film, great cinematography, great sound track, excellent editing, but I don’t think it’s a deep exploration of revenge or human suffering or that it has a particularly unique perspective on the matter. I think it tells a well constructed story that contains revenge and is purposefully provocative to the extent that it is bound to get an emotional reaction.
