Once Upon a Time in the West 1968
If there’s anyone who knows how to let a scene breathe, it’s Sergio Leone.
This is a supremely cool film that’s a deconstruction of Western tropes.
Wikipedia tells me Leone intentionally reconstructed iconic scenes, changing the tone and meaning of the scene while retaining the blocking. I look at this as his way of stripping the Hollywood romanticism of cowboys and portraying them as the selfish, ruthless men they were
