“We gotta make like eggs and scramble!”
There’s a lot of talk about eggs these days and that line delivery got me good. Using the Bates Motel for a death inspired by the pool scene from Tommy Boy x Final Destination was brilliant!
While I didn’t like Longlegs, it’s interesting that Perkins has range. I too had that damn button-up with flames. For being an elevated (in budget and scope) episode of Goosebumps, we must be reminded of another thing…you never go bees-to-mouth.

Mad God 2021
That opening shot was the invitation to a vastly post-apocalyptic nightmare. Did I accept? YES, the character designs are fantastic and the animation was handled with loving care. However, I gotta ask the question, if this project was 30 years in the making, what was the story?
Admittingly, the score by Dan Wool carries a solid portion of Mad God, but really wished the visuals weren't begging me to love them. Also, what's the take on that questionable green screen compositing? For some reason, the live-action sequences kinda made me lose interest.
