  A weird one -- on the second rewatch I can't help but like it more, though I still think the soundtrack is a bit uninspired I think I approve more of the colour palette and stylistic decisions re: shapes and design features. I think after a reread of the book the notably Arabic influence to the soundtrack etc. feels less superficial and played-up and more in touch with the original themes of the book, which is part of the reason I rate it higher now. Cast great ofc.

  A victim of marvelisation of film e.g. glib witticisms and conversation, very plot focussed and loses some emphasis on interesting themes like Oppenheimer as the public prophet of science. Still some excellent scenes
