Emerald is the queen of plot twists I swear to god, move aside M Night Shyamalan. Even when she dangles the plot in front of you, your still shocked by the end. Also if you didn’t see any critiques on class that’s on you. Oliver wasn’t impoverished like he claimed but he did use that for his own gain, the family used guests almost like accessories and using financial instability against them, especially with Farleigh and Pamela. First film I had cried to since I was a little kid, and it does so well in representing the isolation of a teen struggling with a chronic illness
Plus I see so many reviews rating this movie so low based on how Moses treated her so badly despite the fact that that is literally a key point to the film and highlights the fact she loves him so much because she is lonely, along with the alternative sorrowful story of loving someone with a drug addiction
Dull Americans only seeing this film at surface value honestly mind numbing
