Fairy tales aren’t happy stories. This is a modern American fairy tale with nods to Pretty Woman, but a more realistic ending. I think that’s part of why this representation of such a stigmatized subject resonates so much. It portrays sex work authentically and without glamorization. Mikey Madison seduced the audience through the screen with far more than her sex appeal. The symbolism and soundtrack are elegantly appropriate, while the ending leaves the audience breathlessly wanting more
