  A lot of this ruled for the same reasons Alien does. Unique gritty world building, edge of your seat tension, epic VFX and some really well done set pieces.

  Unfortunately all the call-backs, particularly the Rook character (why couldn’t they just use another actor???) really took me out of it for extended bits.

  Loved all the space horror, didn’t care for the call backs and extended lore. 

  p.s. chiefing the whole cig while blasting into space was sick
