Another interesting subject, cultural war is never an easy theme to run through, brave initiative from all members.
In my point of view it was a master piece that broke before it could be showed, probably some of the holes in the script has something to do with the war itself, which the crew couldn't do as they pleased(context, apparently the director was caught and imprisoned, then he escaped).
I didn't understand all of it, probably because I don't have enough info into those internal/cultural predicament.
Half a star just for the black and white part.
Excruciating movie, hated the most part of it, too many moral dilemmas and touches some taboos that no one should touch.
Overall literally criminal. Most horrifying audio visual that I've ever seen.
Relief and freedom sensations were awesome.
Ghibli animations has a lot of compelling ways to show us the beauty of little elements.
