As a movie, it was fine, if not a little boring. Definitely, not something I would find myself rewatching. I assumed the movie would have taken a more dramatic tone given Mercury's vivid life. The performances and music intersecting throughout really mirrored a Broadway musical. Albeit a gimmicky choice, it does draw in the average person familiar with the music rather than a devoted Queen fan.

Having watched Twilight's Kiss (Suk Suk) in March 2020 not only marked my first online movie screening but also my foray into what I hope is a new era of Hong Kong films. A month ago, I found out that NYFF had screening of All Shall Be Well which I unfortunately missed. Luckily, a week ago I discovered that Film Forum would be screening the movie and host a Q+A with the director and writer Ray Yeung.
