A Complete Unknown 2024
Loved how they let the music do the talking - definitely my favorite Timothy performance. Was hoping for a Robbie Robertson appearance but that was after Newport I guess. Woodie and Pete were anchors to the story which I loved. Well done. Walked home in the cold in a wool shirt, with my head down and my hands in my pockets. Dylan core.

Edward Berger has talent.
An intricate story that plays out like a game of chess - initially, it felt like the intense score and dramatic cinematography were unwarranted; but as the story unfolded I felt it earned the right to such more and more. Several of those shots (the meetings on the turquoise seats and the bird's eye of the umbrellas and the fountain, for example) are still stuck in my head. The ending seemed over the top, but I'd still give it 4 stars. An interesting depiction of a church governed by men. Viva México.

Stunning cinematography, crazy story, incredible acting, and beautiful score; sometimes a European must tell an American story - like the way Robert Frank did with The Americans.
