One of the most unique Spike Lee joints that I've seen to date. The film felt real and raw yet so polished at the same time. The duplicative shots were one of my favorite aspects as well as the unique casting (The Goose & Logan Roy!!). Love how it was a classic Spike Lee-New York narrative but still managed to pull at your heartstrings.

An incredibly unique take on sadness, memories, and parenting. A truly excellent and thought provoking movie.

For some reason this movie made me forget anything that happened 5 minutes prior. Maybe because there were so many different levels and realities. The ability to make the viewer feel such strong anxiety and guilt was probably the most redeeming part about this movie. I also thought Ari Aster’s dark horror comedic relief shined and the casting was awkward but perfect.

Now that I’m reading more into it, I think I’m able to understand and enjoy the movie a little bit more. It wasn’t my favorite but that could change with a rewatch.

An absolute masterpiece and it seems like this movie is the core inspiration for all the action flicks we see nowadays. The tension had you on the edge of your seat the entire time. Bobby D and Al came through as always but shoutout to Val Kilmer for taking some time to shine. Wasn’t the ending I wanted but the ending we all deserved.
