  inject this soundtrack into my veins

  i kind of cant believe this underperformed. i had no idea it existed until like 2 months after it came out. i think sony gave it a marketing budget of five dollars.

  i think we're in a golden age of movie production, set, and costume design

  really well written and supremely well casted. just a fun time tbh

  felt a little rough around the edges but maybe thats the point? i think this will grow on me with time

  this movie is like on the same mental response level as a tiktok thats just not boring enough for you to swipe away from it but too boring to be fun and you leave feeling terrible about wasting your time and it makes you have the revelation that youre wasting all your time on tiktok and then you leave the app and look into changing the screen time settings on your phone. its like that

  reform! is a great return to form for pretty good, that, like any jon bois project does, relishes in its own details to a borderline fault-- but then again, that's what makes it so distinctly him, and what makes the payoff to many of the small vignettes that scatter his work (most prominently in the structure of the bob emergency, but most if not all bois projects feel like collections of little stories) all the more powerful.
