I Saw the TV Glow 2024
If youre a person that went to film school, that dissects every element of camera setups, use of lighting, to sound design. While you took gender queer studies among other sociology course electives…this film is for you.
It’s super slow and the dialogue doesn’t give a lot. However, if you’re disciplined enough to focus little details of sound, silence and lighting with general knowledge of queerness, it was like solving a riddle. A VERY SLOW RIDDLE.
It’s a beautiful movie to take away from but the film is for film snobs who love snobby films and I’m one of them LOL

I feel like we finally have our first Superbad film for the Black girlies. However not every joke landed for me…it’s was too safe.
I know Black women have DARK HUMOUR derived from intense masking and heightened observations we utilize in our social environments. So Easter eggs could have been pretty fly. With that being said, Issa Rae tap me in the writers room.
