The Substance 2024
Most intense film I’ve seen in cinema and objectively speaking an impressive production, but it’s beyond what I can take in terms of gore/violence. I can understand all the choices that were made, they are all intentional and it works - still, I do question what’s the value of this much graphic violence when the message is already extremely clear after the first hour. It’s certainly an experience, but sometimes an unnecessary one.
