I assumed the final turns of the story would be about sentience and humans (Corporation) intervening to prevent it.
I'm so glad I was wrong. What makes this movie almost without fault is that all the mechanisms that push the story forward are internal to the characters, rather than external forces being at play.
It truly is an exploration of emotions and AI ethics, wrapped in a gorgeous film.

Anatomy of a Fall 2023
It's a good film but it's not a Palme-d'or-winner-slap-in-the-face good film.
They never conveyed that the protagonist was at risk of loosing the trial and being incarcerated. The accusation's case was actually slim and circumstantial. The only reason they were able to go on after her for 2 hours of court room drama is because of the deep flaws of the French judiciary system that allow for speculative tangents even when unsupported by evidence.
