The animation feels weird at first but you get used it, as is usually the case with CGI anime (although this one looks better than most).
The backgrounds are beautiful.
The story is suprisingly well adapted to the time frame of a movie, I feel like even if you don't know much about Slam Dunk as a manga/anime, you still understand the story and characters, and the game becomes that much more interesting and tense.
